Vilenia Villas Guests can engage in a range of activities. For starters, swimming and sunbathing under the bright sun on one of the neighboring beaches, Alykes or Alikanas (1,5 km) which are one of the best beaches in Zante. Their waters are clear, shallow and deep blue. There are sunbeds and umbrellas for rent, a wide variety of bars, restaurants and taverns. So, you can spend your whole day carefree and relax with sunbathing. Moreover, the beaches offer a variety of water sports, such as jet skiing, wind surfing, canoeing, pedal boating, skiing, etc.Furthermore, from the Alykes port,  daily cruises are organised to the famous beach “Shipwreck” and the Blue Caves, where you will have the opportunity to enjoy the famous attractions.

Then you can visit the picturesque suburb of Bochali with magnificent view, just 12.6 km away or if you prefer to admire a historical monument, then the Venetian Fortress is only 15 km away.

It is also worth seeing the Byzantine Museum and the Solomos & Kalvos Museum in the town, as well as the Vertzagio Folk Museum of the island just a few kilometers from Vilenia Villas.

In addition, you have the opportunity to enjoy hiking in a wonderful, idyllic and of rare beauty mountain landscape next to our residences. During your hike you will explore the famous island views from above, old churches and houses full of history and memories, a monastery with great cultural relics and much more. Following the mysterious slopes and ridges of the mountain called “Melissa”, you end up at the Monastery of Agios Ioannis the Prodromos, where you can have a tour in the Monastery which was founded in the 16th century.

Apart from that, you can enjoy your walk in the Zakynthos countryside with the tourist train that passes in front of Vilenia Villas. Starting from Alykes, you will have the opportunity to have a tour in the Katastari village, at the foot of the mountain “Kakia Rachi”, in the Pigadakia village and gaze at the view of the island of Kefalonia and the resorts of Alykanas and Alykes from above.

For our little friends, we recommend a visit to Tsilivi Water Park, which is located in Tsilivi village just 8.9km and Water Village located in Sarakinado, 12km from our location.

We would also suggest you visit the Helmi’s Natural History Museum, which is the only Museum of Natural History in Zante. The Museum is located in an amazing location in Agia Marina, overlooking the city and the bay of Laganas, just a 10 minutes’ drive from our villas. Its collections include sections of flora and fauna of Zante’s nature and many exhibits are located in a special room for environmental education. Thus, there is an opportunity for information, education and awareness on issues of protection of natural heritage and sustainable development.

In addition, it would be a good idea to check the place chosen by the Caretta Caretta sea turtles and the Monachus Monachus Mediterranean seals for breeding. Besides, the National Marine Park of Zante is the first park of its kind that was established in Greece, but also in the Mediterranean Sea, with the aim of protecting the spawning beaches of Caretta caretta, the habitat and population of mediterranean seal, the flora and fauna of seagrass, while developing activities for the sustainable development, harmonized with protection of nature, landscape and cultural heritage.

For nature lovers, it is a good idea to visit the Askos Stone Park, to admire up to 200,000 native plants, shrubs and trees, as well as hundreds of animals that live freely in their natural conditions. It is located in Volimes, a 20 minutes’ drive from our villas.

Xygia beach, which is located close to our villas, is worth visiting and diving in its clear blue waters, which are thermal and sulfur is secreted from the neighboring caves.
